I don’t know how you find anything using the search option here. Say you want to find all post made on a certain model , what pray tell do you put in the search box ? I put in “ Walther Model 1” ,that didn’t help , put in “ model 1” , then just “M1”. Oh ,I get results.

Ha....that's because the 'search' on this site sucks. You need to go to 'google' or if you don't like to have a company tracking all your searches, go to 'duckduckgo'. Type this into the search window without the quotes 'Walther Model 1 site:waltherforums.com'. This includes your search item (Walther Model 1) and more importantly, it tells the search engine to search a specific site (site:waltherforums.com).

Here's the results I got. https://www.google.com/search?ei=PMHIWvXUEOTZjwSwtL7ACg&q=Walther+Model+1+site:waltherforums.com&oq=Walther+Model+1+site:waltherforums.com&gs_l=psy-ab.12...27317.29362.0.40424.7.7.0.0.0.0.104.683.5j2.7.0....0...1c.1.64.psy-ab..0.0.0....0.rNYBy_5UQzc and with duckduckgo https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Walther+Model+1+site:waltherforums.com&t=hy&atb=v110-1_g&ia=web

Click on either one of those links.....have fun. :D

imof,
That was incredibly helpful information. I, too, have struggled with searches here. I've just googled topics and then looked at the ones here, but this is much more directed. Thanks!

Excellent advice, Oldfart. I was thinking of posting an F.Y.I. in this subforum regarding the useless search features built into the Forum but your response sums it up perfectly.

Basically, if you want to find something here, go to Google and type "Waltherforums _________" whatever it is you're looking for.
