A few photos of one of my S&W J frame in the revolver collection. Holsters are alligator skin that were made by a friend. The performance center variant has a tuned trigger and also the cylinder is machined to accept moon clips. Grips are rubber and wood.

Was the action slicked up at all?
I love Centennials, but those moon clips are the work of the devil... ;)
Seriously, the long rimmed cartridges don't work as well as the shorter, autopistol rounds; use a moon for carry (and easy clearing), but a speed strip for reloads.

The 640 Pro is my favorite from current production; great sights, and heavy enough to make a few magnums doable. The MIM parts are fine, but they don't slick up as well as the older, forged stuff.
Enjoy!

Action was considerably smoothed out. The moon clips are great for very quick reloads. TK Custom offers a mandrel for quick reloading of the clips. Also, carry holders for the moon clips. These 642's can also be used without moon clips.
