bought a romanian 7.65 md 74 in the 80s for $75 32acp....was distributed by Century Arms St albans Vt..made in 1980..Looks and feels like the Bersa Thunder 380 and it is lightweight....decent shooting out to 15 yards..i sometimes use it while hiking..or walking big city streets looking for my car...prefer winchester silvertips because they dont jam..decent performance..i like the rubber thumbgrip on it...seems to hold the gun steadier....havent shot it in awhile...maybe this weekend

Welcome to WaltherForums! Many of the Romanian M74 7.65mm pistols in the US were sold as surplus by East Germany (DDR). I have a DDR shoulder holster marked Mdl M74 but haven't found the gun yet. The Carpati was also made in a commercial .380 version called the M95. It looks like a high school shop project but actually shoots pretty well. I was able to find one new in the box... :D
