Has anyone Already tried retro fitting the new longer magazine release on an older pistol that originaly came with the shorter release?
Are the newer longer releases availible to purchase?

I'm new to the P99 / SW99 series pistols but have been gunsmith semi-professional for going on 20 years. and it looks to be a rather strait forward swap other than possibly removing a bit of material for clearance from the trigger guard.

I would think somebody with a mill could do it in no time....
the triggerguard needs to be reshaped to take the new mag release

That’s what I was thinking, Are the new style magazine releases available?

Even without a mill a Jig and a dremmel would probably do the trick with a little caution.
