Anyone try anything like this yet? Thought about it after noticing that the new Taurus has a barrel mount. If the sight is not moving with the slide, that may help with adhesion and not cause cycling problems.
Epoxyed on a cheap red dot. The picatinny rail crossbar on the sight fit in the forward groove and may keep it in place. Will try to head to the range this coming week.
Low expectations, but I am swapping most of my pistols to red dots due to my aging eyes. If successful, will try it with a better red dot. Compensator should keep the dot window a bit cleaner.
