I have been told that the recoil of the P99 in 9mm is just as snappy (punchy) as the G27.

Maybe I missunderstood.

Is the 9mm P99 just as snappy as the 40 cal.in the Walther or the Glock 40?

If not so....how much less snap does the 9mm have.

Thanks

Recoil isn't any worse than my Glock 17, and actually better than my Sig P228.
It's a 9mm....... how much recoil can it have?
My Kahr Mk9 isn't even very snappy with +p .

The recoil on my P99 is much more pronounced than on my Beretta Brigadier, and they're both 9mm. Even in 9mm, the extra weight of the Brig is very noticeable.
I haven't fired the other guns you mentioned, sorry.

But would you want to carry the Beretta around all day?
My CZ-75 has considerably less recoil than my other 9mm's, but the thing is all steel and weighs a ton.
Most of the similar size pistols recoil the same.

"Carry" is a non-issue for me, since I'm in Canada.
But the P99 is still very accurate, even with a shorter barrel than the Brig.

Yes!

Now that I own and shoot the P99 in 9mm, I am with you on the muzzle flip and recoil response with this handgun.

It is indeed comparable with all of the .40s (Glocks) that I have experience with.

True!  I have been told that recoil is subjective, and it surely is (as is beauty).

Some folks think that sky diving is a walk in the park. That to is subjective.

Bottom line, here.

The Walther P99 is a great handgun to own and shoot!..... and well worth the conversation!
