The quality is some of the best i've owned, right up there with Milt Sparks and Kramer, better than HighNoon and Galco IMO.
A note on the Rafter S belts, buy at least 2" larger than you normally would. I wear 33" pants, 36" Wilderness belt, and a 37" Rafter S belt.

They really do make a nice product. You are so right about the belt size. Mine measure the same size as another belt that is two sizes shorter. I have the same holster except for brown leather on the double strap. Good service, nice people and super product.

Hi ya NM99, Great looking rig, and I'm thinking about getting one myself. And would like to ask ya a question since I've always carried IWB.
The Rafter OWB like you got has only one belt slot, so I was wondering if it tilts or pulls up when drawing??
I had an OWB a couple yrs ago but it had fore and aft belt slots and was relly secure in drawing. So I was wondering it the single slot would kinda nose up or pull up the non slotted front end when drawing?

Thanks for the help, JB

The Rafter S has a "tunnel slot" in addition to the belt slot you can see. It's a very secure system. This OWB actually conceals better under a Polo shirt than several IWBs I own.

I don't own a .40, so I can't give you a definative answer.
But looking inside the holster, it appears that the molding for the slide flats goes all the way to the end of the holster. So my guess is that the holster is made to fit both.

Hi ya NM99, Thanks that clears it all up, I couldn't see that loop on the back in any of the Rafter web site pics. Man you take some good pics.
I think I'm going to get me one of tham, it looks like it sets at a nice forward cant too.
Thanks again, JB

I carry a Surefire 6p in my front pocket when I go out after dark.
I just liked the looks of the sharkskin, but i've heard that it is extremely durable, and tougher than cowhide, it's not as stiff as horsehide, but it seems to hold its shape as well as cowhide.

To answer your belt question be sure to measure and add an inch or two if you are going to use in for IWB carry. Remember the belts are double thick and look like uniform belts in thickness. They are nice looking and apparently a bargain. These folks are a pleasure to deal with. And they are from good old Missouri.
