Hi, any help is appreciated.

I was offered this P5, it's in another country so I cannot handle it. Why would it have the serial number in this particular format? Usually it's only stamped. Would the frame be from another pistol? Or is it a particular issue?

Just a guess.


At some point the frame had un-repairable damage, a gunsmith located another frame, milled the ser# off, then stamped the slide ser# in the milled out area.


I'm sure this was not done by Walther at time of production.


What variation is this?


Ser #?

Malta, does the serial number on the frame match the serial number on the slide? How much are they asking for the pistol. No worries, no one here in the US is going to attempt to buy a pistol in another country....we don't even know where it is anyway. Just curious about the price in USD.

No worries. They are asking €600 for the P5. I think it’s on the steep side, I could get a much better one for that price or slightly more.
