I purchased a Walther P38 made in 1943. It was brought to the US in May of 1945 by a soldier. There is a tag on the gun and I have the story behind it. There are two mags and the holster. It is in very good condition. No pitting. I have read that it is worth between $850 and $1200.00. Does this seem accurate? By the way, I paid $200.00 for it. Thanks for any info provided! Jamey

It would be really hard to give a good value without pictures to support it. Your range is appropriate for an AC43 in decent shape (to fine shape at the high end) that has two E/359 mags (they were not numbered anymore by then) and a decent wartime holster.

As variants exist, and so do makers of mags and holsters, there isn't much to say. Did it come back with papers?

BTW, consider not shooting it, if it is in collectible grade condition. They are getting rarer over time as Bubba and age work over the remaining ones.
