Question about sending a pistol for factory service

628 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  halfmoonclip
I’m going to be shipping my P22 CA pistol back to Walther tomorrow for service. No where on the RGA does it says to return the mag(s) with the pistol. It only says to return the pistol, factory box (if you have it), 3 spent “approved” rounds, and the label or box top of the ammo. Should I send one mag? Should I send both that came with the pistol? I’m leaning towards sending both just in case they want to test it with my mags.

I would send one so they use your stuff to shoot it with to verify it’s fixed.

Hmmm - maybe I’ll call them if they’re open tomorrow. I really want to get this thing out so they can take a look at it :)
Won't be open tomorrow. Send one so they can test it with one your magazines. That way your magazine can be ruled out of causing any issues. You'll get it back so might as well.

I’ve been shooting it with 3 different factory mags - I would need to send all 3 if they were to try to rule out my mags. (Side note: I had “spent round stuck in chamber” incidents with all 3).

failure to extract? Its not the mags.
I agree 100%
Send all three, just in case (tho' I agree with the above diagnosis).
In your cover letter, mention that you sent 3.
