I prefer the QA but does anyone here carry thier DA/SA in SA only? Do you feel comfortable with the firing pin fully retracted? I am well aware if you keep your finger out of the trigger guard you will have no problems but I am curious to see if anyone with a DA/SA carries their pistol in SA.

An additional question - Is this practice of carrying the DA/SA P99 in cocked (SA) mode recommended by the manufacturer?

I carry my P99 in SA trigger forward position, aka: "click" position.
Safety and consistent trigger pull all in one.

Any one know why the IDPA prohibits us from starting in this position? I'm guessing it's because it's still true SA (kind of like the XD being put in esp). It seems the longer trigger works in the "real" world, but not in the games that are supposed to simulate them.
