Hi,
I bought my first Walther rifle, and will be looking to find the correct diopter sights for it.
I haven't received the rifle yet, so I can't know what year it is from.
I'm guessing the mid to late 1950's?

Also can anyone recommend a scope base that fits these rifles well?

i should have mentioned that I have been shooting with diopter sights for a few years now with great success.

My first rifle with these sights is a 1968 Carl Gustav CG63. Next I bought a BSA Model 12.
I had planned on buying an Anschutz next, but saw this Walther and bought it instead.
I shooting standing a lot and thought the style of this rifle might be more fitting.

My daughter shoots very well with diopters, but prefers a scope.
We will both be using this rifle, so I can imagine that the sights will be changed every year or so.

Congrats o the Walther. I have had 2 Walther rifles, one KKM Match and one UIT.

You should be fine with just the dove tail for scope mounting.
Great rifles and I'm always on the lookout for another one
