I've never bought from these people but here is a link to a site selling ProMag P99 15-round blued steel mags for 29.95. Does anyone know if ProMag mags are any good?

Yea, I'd say your distributer needs to lower the price dramatically.

Have you tried asking S&W? If you have a business, they might give you the wholesale price.

Pro Mags are not good. I've have had a lot of jams using them. Stick with Walther mags.

Whatever magazines you get, beware!

My second set of magazines from S and W both broke today at the range after about 60 rounds.  First one magazine broke, then the second one broke around round 75.

I'm not a happy camper.  I haven't been to the range with these new magazines that SaW sent to replace my old ones that broke.  Its dissapointing that the new ones didn't even make it through one range trip.  I usually shoot 100 to 150 rounds.

At least the gun worked well, no failures.

WalSmith is sending me replacements again. I spoke with Mark. He was extremely nice and helpful on the phone, and seemed genuinely apologetic when telling him my situation.

Thumbs up to WaltherAmerica for good customer service, considering this is my second set of replacements!

Was it the 10rnd or 12rnd mags that broke? I thought I heard that there were no issues with the 12 rounders.

Yes, it was the 10 rounders. I received replacement 10 rounders first. It was these that broke a few days ago.
