I have a PPK I aquired from a from a friend whos grandfather, a WW2 vet passed away a few years ago. His father had told him that grandpa had brought the gun back from the war. The gun has no clip in it, or any military markings on it whatsoever, other than an eagle over N which I believe is a nitro proof mark. Im curious as to whether it is either a prewar or during the war manufacture. I suppose the serial number could tell me this?? The markings on the left hand side after the Walther banner say
Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thur)
Walther's Patent Cal 7,65 m/m
