Have you done the first clean and re-oil? That seems to fix a lot of issues as I have read. Get that factory stuff out especially before you shoot the first shots.. Give her a good cleaning and oil what the manual says and try it out

 

Have my PPX over a year now. Trigger was pretty smooth out of the box. Before shooting, gave it a good cleaning. Usually alot of factory gunk covering exposed areas. After cleaning, follow the manuel lube instruction. See how this works. Over a thousand rounds now, shoots great!

 

Received my CDNN threaded barrel PPX today. Cleaned and lubed and checked the trigger pull with the wheeler trigger pull gauge, 4 1/2 lb consistent break. Very pleased. better than advertised. range time was short only 50 rds fired. But cool beans the accuracy was right on and tore a ragged 4in hole at 21 ft. Was in a hurry had to pick up the wife. Impressive trigger action. Almost as good as a single action pistol with light trigger spring. Better than my old Glock 17 which is pretty damn good. I own a PPQ 22 which after some work is a consistent reliable nail driver. But wow the PPX is just right.

 

My LGS ordered a stainless 9mm PPX Monday morning for me through CDNN. They said it should be delivered Wednesday. Can't hardly wait to put 100 or so rounds through it if actually does show up tomorrow. I dry fired a PPX on several occasions before I decided to order one. The superb trigger was one of the reasons I decided to go with a PPX.

 

Looking at it under a magnifier, what I was feeling was the sear moving up along the surface of the rocker before releasing it. I was able to pull the trigger to start the sear's movement, and then releasing the trigger stopped the sear after it had moved up slightly. Pulling it again moved it up the rest of the way and released the hammer.

It already is smoothing out a little just from figuring it out, so hopefully this is just some finish-roughness that will smooth out all the way with use.
