PPS M2 Rear pin walking out

1798 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Bassackwards
So I've had my PPS M2 for a while now. The rear roll pin has constantly crept out ever so slightly to the right, only to point that it becomes irritating because it starts biting my hand when I shoot. I have always been able to push it back in with a press but it does eventually work its way out after a few rounds. Any thoughts or similar occurances?

Just noticed the same problem on my PPS M2. Sharp little bugger. Have about 800 rounds through it. This could be a really annoying occurrence.
Yeah, not sure if this is worthy of mention to Walther for sending in. I've been hitting it in recently with a punch and hammer. Just about every range session it creeps out. Definitely right about it being sharp and annoying.

Just a thought. Remove it, put it back in bassackwards and use a little blue loctite 242. What have you got to loose?

I emailed Walther last night about the problem. Sent your picture instead of taking my own. Thanks, they look identical. I tried to reset the pin but it didn't want to move with a few taps from a brass hammer. Don't want to break the plastic frame.

They want me to send it in for repairs. Pain in the ass, but they're giving me prompt service and I assume free shipping. I'll let you know how it works out.
Much appreciated bass, thanks for the update.

Great warraqnty on sear pin walking.

Much appreciated bass, thanks for the update.]
so:
Sent the PPS to Walther last Friday. They repaired it and returned it today, one week total. Repair included new trigger assembly, sear pin, and sear housing assembly.
Total cost with shipping and labor invoiced at $170.98.

My cost $0.00 Plus a week waiting for the gun.

Glad I didn't just let this one ride. Thanks Walther. Great warranty.
Edit. Trigger is also much smoother. Feels fine tuned.
