Now that they are hitting the dealers shelfs, what pricing have you've been getting from your local shop? Reason I ask is that I've been a regular customer and have spent a lot of cash at my local shop for the last 8 years or so and the price I received was $650. Also, anyone now how much the standard black frame PPS will be when they come out?

I did get a chance to see and handle one and I really like them - but I think right now they are overpriced. That said, if I had the $650 when I was at my dealer - this would have been mine.

Yeah I think it is too high also...if they keep it at these prices I don't think they will be as big a sell as they could be...

I was quoted $595 by two seperate dealers here in south Louisiana... granted none of thier distributors had them (not even direct from Walther) but thats the price I was given.

I sold my XD-45 for $500 in anticipation of the PPS, I even got permission from my boss to spend up to $100 extra on it - and she didn't even give me that much of a guilt trip about it.

Unfortunately, by the time I sold my XD, neither of the dealers could get one. There is a gun show coming up in 2 weeks, maybe I'll find one then - otherwise I think I'll wait until the all black comes out - then it'll match my P99!

My First Edition was $579 before tax. Firing Line guns, Westland, MI. It was the only one they had at the time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I heard that the normal PPS will only come with 2 magazines, while the first edition has 3. If that holds true, and mag prices stay >$40, then that makes me fell a little better.

The first edition comes with a decent case. That doesn't mean much to me, but might for others.

Hmmm...it seems that my local shop is kinda high here at $650...which aggrevates me as I have been a regular customer for 8 yrs or so and have purchased many guns from him. I did phone three other shops in town - they all had to have the gun explained to them as they were not aware of it. Then they all had to call their distriburter to see if they could get one......and guess what - they all came back and told me that these guns were not released yet.
