I have a M2, 5” with the screw adjustable rear sight and took advantage of Night Fisions Black Friday sale.

Looking for guidance in replacing the rear sight. Do I remove & discard the plunger, spring & screw and just drift the replacement in? Any particular direction ( left to right or right to left)?

Thanks in advance

I would keep the original sight, plunger, and spring in case you ever decide to go back to it or sell the pistol. YMMV. With a press-fit sight you don’t need the plunger or spring.

The instructions should say which side. In my experience, I started from the left, i.e. the side opposite from where the plunger is. It is best to use a sight pusher or have a gunsmith do it. If you’re careful you may be able to drift it in using a punch. I don’t have experience with that brand of sights but have done other press-fit type.
