PPQ Q4 Slide/Conversion Kit

I saw this PPQ Q4 slide and was wondering if this would work with a PPQ M1 4" 9mm lower/frame?

https://www.carl-walther.com/products/defense-guns/pistols/2834740.html

I assume that it would also use the PPQ M1 4" 9mm barrel?

It would be great if these become available for US customers. Does anybody have any info on these?

Swapped my full slide assembly with my barrel onto an M1 .40 frame to check function. All worked in am unloaded state. Was told by Walter that buying the Q4 slide would be very expensive

Whoever translated that page might need a few more lessons in English. When I click the link up above it says "conversation kit". Although since we are conversing about it that might be accurate.

Yeah, I saw that also. But, I instead chose to call it conversion kit as I am pretty sure that is what Walther meant. :)
Well, here are two questions that I emailed to Walther Customer Service today in relation to the conversion kit linked above:

1. I am wondering if there is a PPQ Q4 TAC slide available to purchase?
2. Would that slide work on my PPQ M1 4" 9mm lower/frame?

I also sent this link in my email to Walther: https://www.carl-walther.com/products/defense-guns/pistols/2834740.html

Here is the response I received from Mary Bryant in Walther Customer Service regarding my two questions:

1. Currently, all the slides are going into the production of guns. There are not any available for sale yet.
2. Yes.

So I guess it will work as others have already mentioned. I just wish Walther would sell these conversion kits in the United States.

Two points:

1) It's coming - you just need to be patient. The text on the Walther German website states “ab Sommer” (from the summer), but Walther have elegantly covered themselves by failing to specify which summer.

2) This offering is a complete adapter kit, including slide, barrel, guide rod and carrying case. The slide alone will not be available for purchase as a separate item.

Two further points (and probably the most significant ones):

Was told by Walter that buying the Q4 slide would be very expensive
.......and they weren't kidding you! While the Walther website gives no current price for the Q4 adapter kit, the approximate price can be deduced from the cost of the Q5 adapter kit, which is listed and carries a German MSRP of €749. To put it in perspective, the German MSRP of the PPQ Classic/M2 is €899 - so you can see the cost relationship between the adapter kit and a new pistol. Obviously, the Q5 slide is more work to manufacture (slide cuts), but the price difference between the two adapter kits is unlikely to be significant.

Last point: The retail price of the Q4 Tac and the Q5 Match includes three Walther adapter plates. None of these plates are included in the corresponding adapter kits - so that's an additional cost that would have to be factored in.

Conclusion: Not a cheap fix for someone wanting to mount a red dot on their PPQ. It would probably make more sense, financially, to have your slide milled for a specific optic or for the Walther adapter plates (or just buy a Q4 Tac).

Q4 slide

I got the complete q4 for $549, put q4 slide w my rmr type 2 on.and put it on my old gen 1 ppq m1 frame. Works perfect. Slides and gut are identical. Except ejection port of new slide is rounder than old style is square. Works perfect
