PPQ Navy not USPSA Production?

Anybody know why? Seems the 4" and 5" are listed, is this just an oversight on Walther's part?

I've been shooting it in local Steel Challenge matches but am worried I'll get pushed to limited if I try to move to the next level of sanctioned matches.

I was also looking at the Q5 SF as an upgrade but it also seems to be cary optics only?

I looked at the production gun list, and you're right it's not listed--neither is the Q4 Tac. The only thing that's different with the Navy model that's readily visible is the threaded barrel, right? I guess that if you're concerned with that you could always get a 4 inch barrel to use during the match? Fundamentally, I don't see the difference but I'm also not judging any USPSA matches!

The Q5SF is Carry Optics only though I couldn't begin to explain why that is.
They PPQ Navy is not a model. Neither is the Tac. They are PPQ 4”. That’s all anyone needs to know. Anything else is just window dressing.

I also suspect the PPQ Q5 is not listed separately too.....and yet it’s purpose made for competitive shooting.

Car companies due the same thing...they make a model but then have a trim package. That’s all these gun models are guys....marketing.
The Q5 is listed separately and the Q5 SF is specifically listed and noted as carry optics only. So while we can agree they are all effectively PPQ 4 inch and 5 inch models, at least someone at USPSA thinks otherwise.

I can at least see why OP asked the question.

Honestly, how would anyone even know? Secondly, anyone using either of these would not be at any advantage unless the completion is under water.
The life is... /// from USPSA
Wow! Really? That's crazy. Surprised.

So drop a standard barrel in it ;)
Next step is to request Walther to do their job. :)

The Q5 SF is only listed in CO because Walther has certified 500 guns sold, the requirement for CO. Production requires certification of 2,000 guns sold, which Walther hasn't done yet. So no production list inclusion yet.
Well, that would explain it. I remember reading about those certifications at one point but couldn't find it recently.
