I thought I had an extractor issue because I could chamber a good round, but it would take 2 cycles of the slide to extract the same good round. The gun never has an issue extracting when the round was fired. I noticed this crimping barrel in a somewhat new 9MM PPQ. I have also noticed it in a friend's VP9. I have also notice it when picking up range fired cases, I can acutaly see the crimp on fired cases. I can see with a bore light that the barrel has a built in taper crimp. Not sure why, it is not in my PPQ .40 SW nor my PPQ 45APC. just the 9mm. Anyone know why some manufactures do this?
