Purchased a new PPQ m2 5 inch model with the front fiber optic sight. My problem is that the gun groups 10 inches high at 20 yards with the factory rear sight bottomed out. I sent the gun in for repair twice with no corrections. They shot it at 21 feet and sent it back. I would have bought a sling shot if I wanted to shoot 21 feet. Disappointed that with the high price tag that this gun comes with cheap plastic sights. Are there sights out there with better elevation adjustments? Or is there another way of correcting this problem? I am shooting Aguila 40 grain match and possibly there is different ammo that these guns like. Any help is appreciated, Thanks

A taller front sight will drop the groups, these should be available. Also Euro sighting is at the bottom of the bulls not at the center. Sig is the same way.

The fiber optic front sight is clearly too short, and that is why I sent it in for repair. I will try to find a higher front sight, but I find it hard to believe that every one else with this new sight is not having the same problem. Thank you for the help>

looking at the pictures at the European site ( Carl Walther Sporting Weapons - Products - Defense Guns - Tactical Rimfire (.22 lr) ) the front site height looks the same!

I hace a 4" model and I was tempted to ask my dealer to ask Walther for a 5" fiber optic frontsight!

my M&P 9 rear sight is shorter than the original adjustable one! for 15 dollars i would give it a try (just need a bit of filling to fit in, and you can use the same screw)!

With S&W M&P 9 rear sights...
You've done an incredible job finding these and getting them installed. Would you be able to list which front and which rear sight these are, so I could order them? (I'm having a little trouble following the forum thread.) Did the rear sight need filing-down and painting to not overhang? How much customizing was needed aside from installation?

I was also really disappointed in the sights on the PPQ .22, because the PPQ 9mm sights are excellent.

Front sight is the one Walther has on the five inch .22 PPQ. First and second item on this:

Rear sight is this:

Smith & Wesson part#: 395090000 UPC #: 197706223781, $16.49 at Midway.

And yeah, after I hammered in the rear sight and made sure it was centered, I dremeled off the ears and sprayed some of the metal paint on it that I use at work to fix scratches in metal computer cases. Rustoleum something.

I purchased a new PPQ m2 22LR 5 inch model with the front fiber optic sight about three months ago. The last few visits to the range the rear sight has become loose. When I shoot it, the rear sight slides to the left. I've tried to tighten the rear sight, but it doesn't seem to tighten at all. Almost feels like it may be stripped. Any suggestions? Wondering if I should return to Walther to take a look. Thanks.
