What is the difference in a PPQ 22lr pistol and a P22 22lr pistol. Are there problems with both of them are is one much better? Thanks and have a merry Xmas.
The P(istol)22 is an older model with external safety and with cock. It's a DA/SA pistol. I don't know more about it and I don't have one.
The P(olice)P(istol)Q(uick) M2 .22 is a few years newer with three internal safeties and without cock. Ready loaded this pistol is always pre-cocked, which means always a constant trigger travel. I don't have any problems, when using high velocity ammunition like Federal #510. Sometimes standard velocity ammunition like the cheaper Federal #714 doesn't have enough power to move the slide fully backwards. But that's a problem of several .22 semi-automatic pistols.
