hello, i am a newbie. getting ready to purchase a 100% PPK with the above serial. I have no reason to doubt this seller, just looking to find if this is a 1968 Pre "ban" PPK and not a PPK-S? where do we find serial numbers to correspond to production dates, etc. thks in advance. Chucker

Your PPK is in the right serial range for a "German" PPK
however it was made by Manhurin in France and shipped to Walther for marking and proofing of the PPK

.380 100305-266310A 06/1955-10/1985

The PPK and the PPK/S shared the serial range

the only PPK/S made in 1968 was the PPK/S in .380 .... but production did not start till June of 1968... and the serial rnage started for the PPK/S in .380 @ 134941 ... these also were made by Manhurin and then shipped to Ulm

1986 Interarm was licensed to manufacture the PPK.
first in .380 SS and these had the "A" prefix
form 1988 in blued and they had a "K" prefix
and the SS .32 had the "B" prefix

I do have no idea about the serial range on these Interarms guns... and I have yet to find anybody that knows anything about the serial ranges of them
