Hello all - A couple of months ago I bought a new PPK/S as my first handgun (I'm enjoying it) so I'm not super knowledgable about everything. I've been to the range around five or six times and maybe have put 300 rounds in. I always do basic cleaning after each range visit. Here's my question: I noticed when I was cleaning the gun after shooting it today that the coils of the firing pin spring are a little bunched up towards the front and in general the spring looks a little uneven. I cannot remember what it looked like originally and whether this is normal. Is this normal, ok, a problem, etc? Any guidance would be appreciated.

looks quite normal - depending on factory of manufacture, the 'front' end of the spring maybe 'diameter reduced' to better control the location of the firing pin.
fwiw, a lot of springs in many pistols have large/small diameters and one is well advised to take note....

here's one "full disassembly" video that details the firing pin bits....
many available, this is one of the better - especially the video quality.
