PPK Hammer Release?

Is the PPK hammer release suppose to wiggle around, at least up and down a little? It is the triangle on the left side of the frame when you get the slide off.

Yes, I know this question was posed in 2006, but for the benefit of those who don't know... yes, it's perfectly normal, and as designed for it to be loose.
I just posted a question that may be related to this. I am looking for a hammer release for my PP and find that Numrich (gunparts) lists 8 different sizes, by thickness. A skinny one would probably wobble a bit in a gun made for a larger one. I don't know why the various sizes. Plum2020
The various sizes do not vary in thickness -- the stock width is the same for all sizes. The linear width of the part is what varies, as it determines the exact point in the travel of the safety/decocking lever that it decocks the hammer. The fact that the part "wobbles" is not a reason to swap it out. If the hammer falls when the lever is halfway across the red dot, then the hammer release is correctly sized to the gun. If not, bringing the gun to a gunsmith familiar with the PP-series is the next step. Do not swap out the part yourself unless you have an understanding of what it does, and how/why it does it.
