So I have a walther pp32 that was given to me by a long time friend. Her father worked for the walther company in Germany and brought enough pieces home to assemble his own. This gun was never sold and never came out of the plant fully assembled. It has 2 different serial numbers one on the frame and one on the slide. Really cool story behind the pistol. It also is missing a few of the stamped trademarks as those pieces were "taken from production before they could be stamped. I have shot many rounds through this gun and absolutely love it. Just curious to compare the serial numbers to the time period. And also curious if there are any other "bootlegged" pp32s out there and potential rareness

There are date “ranges” of serial numbers available that will approximate the slide and frame age....what are the numbers?

I have just joined and right away viewed this post from someone with the same serial number concern I have. Two different ser#s: slide 392586 p ac and frame 390703 p.

how does this happen?
