I also have 65 PP in 22LR in box all the paper work, which the bluing is turning gray on the back strap, I was wondering if it would worth it to have it refinished. Any thoughts on the value. in excellent shape less than 1000 rounds.

The value of your pistol is better preserved by NOT refinishing it. Better a good cleaning and taking care with the remaining finish.

Other than encouraging you against a reblue, I can’t help with a modern value. Personally I would find a .22 the most desirable of any pre or post war Walther.

It's hard to provide an accurate price estimate without pics but I would say $700-1,000 would be close. Please do not have it refinished.

Do not refinish it. As to value, there is a mid 60s Walther PP .22 cal mint in box for sale at a LGS for $1000 and it has sat there for a year.
