I was cleaning my P99 9mm tonight after a range session, & observed that the plastic guide rod is beginning to wear about a quarter of an inch back from the muzzle end of the spring assembly. Does anyone know if Wolff is coming out with a replacement assembly? Guess maybe I'll call Walrep.
(Have about 1500 rnds thru the P99)

Mine showed wear pretty early, but it lasted past 3000 rounds without any problems. The second guide rod also showed wear, and it too was still OK at 3000 rounds. The last guide rod I bought was from S&W/Walther and it was a steel one, it is into the 4000 round range and still looks good.
I will replace it soon as well, I like to replace them every 3-4k rounds as a maintenence thing. When the brass starts getting tossed out beyond 10' or so, I replace the guide rod assembly.

I've shot over 6000 rounds through one of my .40's with no problems. You can tell the plastic has been scraped up a lot, but its still running good. I do have an extra rod waiting, just in case the original gives out.
