Any advise on replacement grips for carrying the PPK?
Welcome to the forum.

Most postwar two piece plastic grips will fit and aren't too expensive. You can find them in black or brown but your original grips are fragile and may break apart if you remove them.

I've shot WWB and Remington UMC through mine to good effect.

These grips from GPC should fit your PPK.

Here's a good video showing how its done. Fast forward to about the 18:00 mark.

Earl's grinds the inside of the post war grip panel so that it doesn't bind the action. I believe Martin or Balogh have posted exactly how the post war grips need to be adjusted.
I've had two different sets of post war grips on my 1940 PPK and never had any binding with either.
