Really wish Walther would pony up and give a punch in their box. Canik does it and their guns are half the price.

 

It's a fair point. I imagine the per unit cost of adding a decent punch would be just a few dollars, if that. Even less if they went plastic.

The counterpoint is that every man who has reached the age of majority ought to own a set of tools. You owe it to yourself to have a set of punches.

Whole set of cheap punches is like $5-10 (harbor freight) and you can get a nice set of brass 'gunsmithing' punches for $50

 

I'd prefer that Walther not include any tools sourced from the cheapest Chinese supplier. I already have two sets of roll pin punches - one for home and one for work.
