I have a PDP-C 4" that is exceptional. Love the firearm but it's clearly a bit bulky for concealed carry during the warmer T-shirt wearing months here in AZ. (More than Half the year)

I haven't had a chance to see or handle the new PDP-F 3.5" so I wanted to ask if anyone who owns one carry's concealed? Or if you've handled one, what are your thoughts? Too bulky?

I plan to add the PDP-F 3.5 to my rotation of carry in the next few months once I nail down more range sessions with it. I just want to be sure I also have a good light and RMR setup with it before committing it to a custom holster.

I think the PDP-F would be exceptional to carry given the slide has much more beveled edges. I currently carry a P99 with PDP upper and while I don't mind carrying it's like a cheese grater on my holster.

I've been toying with the idea of buying a PDP F-series too. I've done a bit of research on the pistol and have similar CC concerns during hot summer months.

If your body is having a hard time concealing your PDP-C 4", then I suspect you will have similar issues with the F-series while trying to conceal it during Arizona summer temps.

I lived in Buckeye for three years and carried a PPS40 which is only 0.2" shorter than the PDP-F, but it is 0.44" thinner than the fat-boy F-series according to Walther specs.

Your body size and shape are important, but so is the clothing you chose to wear.

That said, I can easily conceal a thicker, heavier S&W model 4053 during the hot, humid N.C. summers between a tucked-in gray Hanes X-Temp tank top and loose gray or dark colored Lands End Super T t-shirt with gun-belted cargo pants. The X-Temp is worn to absorb sweat and the loose fitting Super T allows some venting but not printing.

I suspect I would have to buy new pants with a one-inch larger waist size or trim an inch off my waistline to comfortably accommodate an F-series. I might have to experiment with different carry positions, and also consider buying a two-clip adjustable holster from MTR Custom Leather so I can change the cant if the grip prints too much. I like leather.

I'm looking forward to hearing from those that do CC the F-series, and want to know what their IWB carry position is too.

Great feedback so far. Thanks. I will carry my PDP-C and see how that goes. the grip length will be the same as PDP-F. Great point. I simply LOVE the trigger and natural printability of the PDP. It has been exceptional hence my flirtation with the 3.5" PDP-F.

All this said, I did just pick up an Sig X-Macro *(17 rds) and it definitely carries smaller than the PDP form factor. The thing is, I largely prefer the PDP trigger and I shoot the PDP quicker and have tighter groups on target at self defense distances. (7-10yrds)

My wife just bought the PDP-F 3.5" recently because she loved my PDP FS 4" so much. Let me tell you, when she brought it home and showed me, I fell in love with the thing! I'm 6'5" and I have large hands but, somehow, the PDP-F isn't a problem for me. I think it's a great little gun and is probably going to be one of Walther's biggest sellers.

That’s awesome to hear! I’ll probably look to pick one up soon then. Thanks for the information

That's exactly what I went through. For most of the year in Wisconsin I carry a Glock 19 IWB but during our short summer I switch to a Walther PPS M2. Having properly fitting pants makes a big difference in comfort.

I handled a PDP F 3.5" at a LGS right next to a 4" PDP-C (15 rd) today. Generally speaking, the PDP F 3.5" is a .5" shorter than PDP-C 4" and the "F" grip shape is slightly subdued compared to the standard PDP. Side-by-side, I would not say the "F" version slide bevels are significantly less than the standard PDP variants. I didn't closely scrutinize the different , but in person it seemed rather small. (IMO) Not sure I can justify the 3.5" PDP F for myself. If I didn't already own the PDP-C 4" maybe I'd choose the shorter 3.5" PDP F. Just my .02 worth.
