PD380 Trigger question.

I bought a PD380 a month or so ago, I really like it a lot but there doesn't seem to be enough room between the trigger guard and the trigger for me to comfortably put my finger on the trigger.

Does anyone else seem to have this problem, I wonder if someone makes a flat face trigger for this gun?

Thanks very much.

After reading your post, I checked mine. I have don't have too much trouble getting my finger on the trigger, but it is a tight fit. Those with larger hands must have your issue. Actually I think Walther designed this gun for those with weaker & smaller hands. Walther might appreciate a call giving them some feedback.

In DA, I measured 25mm from deepest trigger guard to the center of the trigger. In SA, it opens up to 36mm. I did read one review on FB where one owner complained about the "square/sharp" edges of the trigger and did some filing to round those edges. Maybe that will help you. I have "smaller" hands/fingers and don't have this issue - actually find the trigger very comfortable.

Yes that's another issue the trigger has square edges which makes it uncomfortable on my finger.
My son is a certified gunsmith, I'll see if he can work the trigger over to make it more comfortable to shoot.

I have normal (?) size hands somewhere between medium and large. The PD380 pinched every time DA or SA. Fifty rounds and blood blister on lower finger tip. Had to send it down the road. If WALTHER addresses this in the future I will give this firearm. another try. First Walther I have had this problem with. They generally fit my hands great.

I think mainly what the problem is, the face and the sides of the trigger are two square.
The corners where the sides of the trigger meets the face should have been more rounded off, another thing that would have been better for me is if the trigger wasn't curved quite as much.

I really liked this hammer fired 380., I doubt Walther will put much more time into this. The trigger works for some. I purchased with the hope it would be a part of my carry rotation. Interesting how a problem so small can become a major factor.

I am ~200 rounds with my new one so far and no issues with trigger for me. I do have medium-to-small sized hands and fingertips are "hardened" from guitar playing... :) perhaps that helps. This trigger "feel" was commented elsewhere as well (on FB) and perhaps this gun is really marketed for smaller hands (i.e. ladies). I just saw a picture of violet/pinkish frame version of it! I'm very happy with mine and can't wait to get back to the range to keep honing in on accuracy!

It may be that one person pulls the trigger a little different (finger placement) than another.

Other times, someone's hands/fingers are differently sized than the engineers made their assumptions around.

It's annoying when it happens though and take the fun out of shooting the gun.

I've not heard yet of any aftermarket trigger shoes or kits for this pistol.

Seems like an opportunity for someone.
