:mad:Bummer, started shooting my LGU yesterday after a long break whilst my knee replacement healed and on the 3rd shot it would not cock or shoot anymore. ARGHHHH: 40 mile round trip for nothing but disappointment!
Once home it was stripped and it transpired that the bear trap release lever housing had come loose. Took it apart today and both screws which secure the body of the bear trap mechanism to the cylinder were very loose. Still can't understand quite why the rifle would not shoot at all though.
Anyway by drifting out the hinge friction pin from the housing the repair turned out to be very easy. Both screws were secured and it all went back together quickly. Few test shots and all is back to normal! Obviously a range trip to re-zero it though at some point.
Hope this helps someone else with the same problem.:)
