I have a P99 Titanium. The finish on the titaniums is somewhat fragile. I am thinking that I should refinish it with one of the new coatings. My question is will the Titanium be worth a premium down the road if left alone? Will I be ruining a potentially collectible gun?

I don't think that they will be "special"
at least they are not yet... there has been a few of these on gunbroker and Auction arms for some time (6 months maybe) for $650 to $700 and they are not moving ....hope that helps

No - titanium finish guns don't seem to be worth anymore.

Get it hard chromed - U will have a permanent, durable finish that looks like the titanium finish:
