Saw a picture of the new Bond in the USA Today and he is using the pre 04 model. Anyone else see it?

Casino Royale - Opening November 17th 2006

I found several posters, this was the only one with a Walthers. P99c from what I can tell. There is one with him with a Beretta and a HK MP5. (I think)

Why couldn't they have picked Adrian Paul? He was at the top of the poll on who people wanted as the next bond.

This guy looks like a metrosexual.

LOL

It will be hard to top Pierce Brosnan as Bond. Sean Connery was good. But soon as he played Remington Steel you knew he was eventully gonna play Bond and he was going to be amazing at it.

The only thing I have seen so far that I like about this new movie is that they have a classic Bond gun, a Walthers, and a classic Bond car, an Austin Martin.

Yeah yeah.
LOL. Not so much.

Actually the USP was my first choice. I just found it uncomfortable to shoot. I try to stick to German engineered products anyways. (Or swiss) My next gun is an Anchutz or Walther target rifle. Then a SIG Special Black. Got some saving to do first though, each is a $3000 (CDN) gun.

Next car... either a VW Passat, Touareg or Porsche 911

And no I am not German or Swiss. Hehe. Canadian through and through.

I held a compact USP yesterday and I think I found my next gun
- The grip is a bit more ergonomic than the fullsize USP (they can't share the same mags, either)

Shipwreck...... you need to try the P2000 in V3.... with the decocker on the back of the slide before you buy the USPc.

I held one yesterday and I do like it - I don't think I would get the LEM model - the action is real light, but ya gotta push a bit harder for that final break.

But, I don't really need a gun that small - I have my compact Walther. The barrel on the USP compact is a bit shorter than I would like, but the grip is nice, and I like the cocked and locked ability.

I wish they would come out with that P3000 soon - it is similiar, but is a 4" barrel, and even has changable side panels, along w/ the back strap.

yea I read about the P3000...... but then there was some rumours that that model was for the European marked only...
but like said it's only rumours
I will not buy a gun that I will not carry (CC)... unless it is a rifle... so all those big H&K are out for me....
P2000 and P2000SK both with the V3 decocker on rear of slide are on my wishlist.... I always hated the levers on the side of the frame on the H&K's .. just more stuff to catch on clothes ...and the P2000 is about the same size than the P99

Anyhow... back to the movie.... I wish they would use a G22 in one of the movies..... and I would have the matching serial # on the G22..... PW007xxx..... that was the first thing I noticed when I registered the G22
Also I do agree with your statement shipwreck... the guy looks very metrosexual

Well, I always try to keep all my guns as scratchfree as possible

So, I only carry 1 gun. The rest are for home defense and for range use.

The shop here are supposed to get some HK guns on the rental range soon. So, maybe I'll get a chance to try one before I make any purchase. It will be the end of April, beginning of MAy when I buy something probably.

Dumbest reason I ever bought a gun was just because it was in a movie. That would be Bond and an early P99. It turned out great since the P99 is one of my fav's but if I was to repeat buying guns just because they were in movies I would own a dozen Desert Eagles with ankle holsters and a 55 gallon drum of street sweepers.

Rockets Out...

PS: Not gving anyone here a hard time, just when I thought about it latter it seemed I should have based my purchase on something other than the movies alone even though it was one of the best purchases I ever made.

+1
My wife swoons at Adrian Paul. He could be Sean Connery's relative - nephew maybe.

Is it me or does Daniel Craig look really freaky in that poster?
BTW, he was pretty good in Layer Cake, good movie.
I would prefer Adrian Paul as well, or maybe Clive Owen or Hugh Jackman.

Daniel Craig is extremely anti-gun, per his interviews with the press. The man can't even drive a manual transmission. They had to convert the Vanquish to an automatic so that he could drive it.

Casino Royale is one movie I will not be seeing.

Why the heck did Pierce Brosnan not stay as 007? If it was money, "show him the money!"

Dang, now I think we are gonna get 1 or 2 more crappy Bond flicks alla the Timothy Dalton years.

We need cool, real gun happy, womanizers for 007. Otherwise it just ain't right.
