I know there was talk about the new Bond using the PPk in the net movie. Apparently he is also using the P99 as well

On all the sneak peaks, that's all I have seen him use, is the P99. Will be interesting to see if a PPK shows up.

Is this mystery gun, the one that is in the Walther promo CD? If so, I was looking closer at it, and it just looked like a very early prototype of the P99 to me. I could be wrong though.

Yes...
the mistery gun is the one shown on the "P99 Spec Op's"
I think though it is not the P99 since it looks to be smaller in overall size.... and the slide is so "square" looking.....

but I guess we will see what surprises we will get within the next year.....

I believe others had also said the new pistol in the video looked smaller than the P99.  Personally, I'd like to see a single stack compact P99.

I'll go see Casino Royale, but I'd be more interested if Daniel Craig wasn't anti-gun.  I wonder how many people he'll shoot in this movie.

My understanding is that the movie starts with a flashback of how Bond becomes a "00" agent, probably using a PPK to remain accurate to the novels and earlier movies, then switches back to present day, and the P99.

And my hope is, he'll shoot as many people as the director and writers tell him to! LOL He is an actor playing a well known and popular character after all!

I am not going to support this movie by watching it.... I hate people who talk about how evil guns are.... but when it comes to their pocket book they don't care what they are asked to do as long as it makes big $$$

I have never been a bond fan anyway - as a kid I watched some - but I haven't watched a full Bond movie since A View to a Kill came out in the theatre. So, I'll pass anyway...

I watched 1 scene of the Bond movie with Michelle Yeoh - because I like her
. The scene aboard the sub near the end. That's been my Bond exposure since 1984

A few gun bunnies boycoting movies is going to be about as effective as mailing tom cruise and telling him he is stupid.

Most people involved in arts have always been anti everything.  Remember they deal in the mind and fantasy not reality.

Pay the 7-10 bucks support movies that have guns more then movies without guns.  If you don't we will be watching more broke back mountian, and less people will get intrested in weapons.

I cant tell you how many people have seen a movie wanted a gun becuase of it then gotten suckered into proper gun ownership.

Just look at how many desert Eagles in 50 44mag are in pawn shops from people wanting big flashy guns.

The more screen time for the P99 the better. I enjoy the Bond films but I would love to get a pro 2nd amendment Bond someday.

I am a huge Bond fan, and I will be at the theater on Friday for opening night.

Who is your favorite Bond actor. I'm weird in that I like them in this order: Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnin, Sean Connrey, George Lazenby, and finally Timothy Dalton. Who knows where Daniel Creig will wedge into that list, but I have high hopes.

I'll definitely be seeing this one. Been a Bond fan forever and I do have to give Bond credit for introducing me to the P99. Of course that's not the only reason I bought one, but it was one of them. I wonder if this new film will renew interest in the P99? I certainly hope so.

Maybe it'll also inspire me to replace the PPK I traded earlier in the year...

People forget (and it was not publisized very much in the day) that Rodger Moore is anti-gun himself. So is George Clooney.

In fact, the entire hollywood establishment (except for a few actors here and there) are ALL ANTI-GUN. Yet they are all making lots of movies with guns and explosions because they make money.

I personally will not be depriving myself ( a big bond fan, and a big P99 fan) of the movie because of Craig.

From what I remember reading, Connrey is no gun fan either...

Well in the service they always said "salute the rank, not the man." I will support Bond/P99 even if I don't like Craig....

You all need to remember where they get the Bond actors from also.  A country with the mentality that you shouldn't fight back when you're being attacked, mugged or raped.  If you did fight back, you'd be in jail and your attacker out on the street.

So, unfortunatly Bond is English.....now if he were American........
