Bought one about 3 weeks ago, about 200 rounds thru it. Recoil not bad, pretty accurate, my first .40, it's a keeper.

Mines been flawless through approaching a thousand rounds. I carry it quite a bit. My only reservation is that stupid hump in the bottom of the trigger guard that irritates my trigger finger after around 60 rounds. But that's minor compared to the other excellent features the pistol offers. This is one of only two pistols I've ever had, (100+) that was right on sight-wise right out of the box.

I also have about a thousand rounds through mine without any problems. It's accurate, lightweight and dependable so I use it as my CHL carry gun.

I bought my S&W 99/.40 in feb of 2001 and have run about 3k rounds though it...mines very accurate...though it seems to get better accuracy from the lighter .40 bullet weights...feeds like a champ is probably more reliable than my Glock...the ergonomics and pointing characteristics are better than sex...that about covers it.:)
