Hi all, first post here, glad I found this site!!! Hopefully some of you Walther Gurus can help.

A friend of mine is looking at purchasing a gen one (manufactured around 1999 to 2000)P-99 in 9mm. I want to know if the original P-99 in 9mm had a 4" (102mm) barrel exactly or if the original gen one P-99 9mm had a very slightly longer barrel 4.14 (106mm). I know the current ones in are exactly 4".

I know the current 40 cal is a bit longer. Can anyone with a P-99 of this gen in 9mm measure there barrel and let me know as well, thanks in advance

The original P99 9mm had a 4" barrel and was flush with the muzzle of the slide. There is however a Canadian model, that had a slightly extended barrel, that was longer than the slide. This was so the P99 would pass a particular law in Canada.
