Does any of my Walther Forum brothers in arms know how many P99 Final Editions Walther plans to build??? I have my FFL trying to get one, but I am sure there are a lot of folks in the same situation as me. I've seen them on Gun Broker bringing high bids well over $1000, but I guess it's how bad you want one. There might be a time where Walther opens the flood gates to release them before the production run is ceased, & stopped for good??? I've never owned a P99, let alone shot one, but I don't hear many negative comments about them. Granted I could purchase a standard P99 AS that are readily available but having the "Final Edition" is the ultimate goal. I remember years ago picking up a Beretta M9 with distinctive (US ARMY) Grips. They were available for our different US Armed Service Branches. Unfortunately, I picked it up after the run was ceased, & had to pay a little more. That pistol was given to my nephew when he graduated US Army Special Forces. I was so proud of him, walking the path I had walked so long ago. Since then, he has had countless deployments too far off lands, gaining rank along the way. I told him he could shoot it if he wanted to, but he chooses to never fire it. It will probably be in his collection when he gets to my old age, & beyond!!! I guess that's why I want the P99 "Final Edition".
