The title sums it up.


Every couple rounds while I'm shooting I can feel the trigger change and I look and the striker is forward for a DA pull. As you can Imagine it's pretty annoying. Also I cant get the trigger to reset unless there is a round in the chamber. If its empty and I fire a DA shot I cant jack it back and engage the short reset I have to go to DA.


Any suggestions? New striker spring?

I'd try that first. Call S&W - if they won't send that to you for free, then see if they will pay for shipping to the factory. They'll fix U up.

Doesn't sound like a striker string problem to me... I would send it to WaltherAmerica and have it looked at by a tech.

"+1" on the call WaltherAmerica (S&W) plan. They will take care of repair and shipping round trip to your door. I would suspect they would replace the whole sear pack in one swoop.
