I have a very early Walther P99 imported by interarms. It was before there were different trigger setups, so I’d call it an AS before the term was ever used. These early ones did not have as much of a hook on the end of the trigger. My finger has often dragged across the bottom of the trigger guard and hit the hump on it blowing my shot by a bit. I see that my newer 40 and 99c has a much more hooked trigger that prevents this and I shoot them more accurately. I think I can get a new trigger out of Germany.

Questions:

1. Do I just need trigger or are other parts involved?
2. Is it a straight drop in job?
3. If anyone can answer the first two can you tell me how to get the trigger out or is there complete breakdown instructions on the net somewhere.

Thanks Experts,

You could just replace the blade rather than the whole thing. Call S&W and see if it'll work for sure, and to order the part(s).

That sounds like a good idea, is this posible anyone. I once heard that the trigger slot in the fram had to be slighlty enlarged somewhere, gotta be true, I read it on the net. Anyone know of the steps involved?

Thanks,
