My P99 with a Bar-Sto .357SIG barrel shoots very accurately.
Although my shooting glasses were fogging up due to high humidity yesterday, the range results were nice. The .357SIG round was a PMC 124 gr FMJ and the recoil was well within reason but I was aware of it.
I next switched to a Magnaported S&W 457 (alloy) frame 45ACP, and it seemed tame in comparison with WW 230 gr ball ammo.

Chip, did you purchase you 357 Sig conversion directly from Bar-sto? I went to their web site and did not see any offerings for a 357 conversion. Does JARVIS also produce this barrel?.. and what did it set you back? thanks

As far as Bar-Sto goes, just call them on the phone when open on the West coast Monday through Thursday and telephone your order with a credit card number. As I recall it took about three or four weeks. I think the usual wait for a special order barrel is much longer. This item is not a standard catalog item. They have a lot of routine production items to get out and a special order of one item cannot be of highest priority. Ask about the schedule when you contact them. Give them some leeway.
As far as I know they are the only ones making this item and it only fits the .40 cal P99. The P99 9 mm slide (opening) is too small to fit the big (strong) .357SIG barrel. It is stainless and looks nice. There may be other factors too.
Of course the .40 cal magazines work with the .357SIG rounds.
As I mentioned in my original post the .357SIG rounds really rock and roll out of the light frame of the P99.

Owners of Sig P239s in .40 and .357SIG calibers are getting a custom group order for batch of Bar-Sto 9 mm barrels. That will take about six weeks. It is cheaper to buy the barrel, than buy another pistol to shoot this popular caliber. I hope the magazine situation is workable without going to a special 9 mm magazine but that may be necessary.

I do not know about Jarvis.
