Here's the sister of the P5 Compact that recently joined the family.

As for the P5 Compact made in 9x21mm IMI for the italian market I have no idea about the numbers of specimens that were produce in the 90s, I only know that it was a very long quest.

With this last one the family of the Walther semiautos (pre-Umarex) is complete. All the particular Walthers that were made for the italian market in the "Golden Years" are side by side in the safe.

I still could not examine quietly the P88 and P88 Compact side by side but the first impression is that the P88 Compact handle is more comfortable, even if I don't see differences between the width of magazines of the two pistols (I am aware that the one of the P88 holds one more round than the one of the P88 Compact but the difference is in the lenght).
Maybe the shape of the grips....
