Hey y'all, I got a pretty ok condition P38 from an auction a while ago and I've been wanting to take it out to the range to test fire it. But the front sight blade is offset and I have no idea how to fix it. Someone recommended that I use a wood mallet to hammer it back into alignment but I'm not sure. The front sight is not loose, in fact it is very hard stuck in there. Has anybody had this problem before and had to repair it?

edit: sorry that the photos are huge for some reason
