Is there any advantage to one model of the P22
over another? I'm thinking of getting one for
plinking purposes, and they vary widely in everything
from slide to color. It's all the same when it comes to
running bullets through it -- right? Or am I missing
something? Many thanks for the thoughts.

Searcher.... I moved your post over to the rimfire section........
now to your question.... I don't own one of the P22's but I know there is a "California" model that you want to stay away from unless you are in CA...
then there is the 3.4 and 5 inch version.... most guys say the 3.4 version is easier to take care of..... also easier to use when you shoot with a can....
I am not sure on the nickel and chrome finish on the P22's.... Nickel most times is not as durable as other finishes and I am not sure about that chromed finish they just started to offer....
I am sure some other guys will chime in... also there is a huge P22 following on the AR15.com site (go to the site then handgun/pistols then Walther) and not to forget rimfirecentral.com is a good source of info on the P22 too

Many thanks, Uncut.
That's great information. Sorry about the errant post.
I'll figure it all out in time. Didn't know about the two
sites you mentioned, so that is greatly appreciated.
Salute.

Not to take anything away from this site but there is some pretty active conversation about P22's going on over at rimfrecentral too.

A good site and an excellent discussion on the P22.
Thanks, one and all, for the suggestion.
