Interested in first hand opinions and feedback on the Walther Creed.

Cheers!

Great shooter with a smooth trigger pull. Feels amazing in the hand ergonomically. A little top-heavy, but the consensus seems to be that it doesn't affect recoil or accuracy much.

Mag capacity is only 16 rounds, which isn't great.

Solid choice overall, although there are probably better options in the budget full-sized pistol market these days (e.g., Beretta APX A1). Although I bet the prices on used Creeds are pretty low.

I never heard anyone who had a creed complain about it much. By all accounts I've read it's a fine pistol. Heard of one or two issues with some higher round count guns, but nothing you wouldn't expect from any other pistol.

Biggest thing you're gun to run into is few accessory options and lack of RDS support.

Got the Creed four years ago as my first handgun...it's got 2500 live fire and over 40,000 dryfire racks to it...Its had two returns to Walther for parts...Sear Assembly replacement and Fire Control Assembly...all covered under warranty...it goes to the range monthly and I do as well with the Creed as I do with the PDP compact that goes with it. It was Walther's budget gun before they stopped producing it in 2019. I've put an optic on it which works better for me than iron sites. All in all for the price it fits my large hands well and makes for a fun range gun.

I just picked one up too. It looks like it hasn't been shot much. The trigger feels nice. I've seen the 16rd mags on sale for $19.99, I've got 2 but will have to get more at that price. I paid $280, OTD.
We have a thunderstorm bearing down on us today so, I guess no range time for awhile.
Hello 54mossy. Have you had a chance to shoot your Creed yet?

I agree the triggers on those things are good.

They are hammer fired rather than striker fired like so many other modern handguns.

It's a very smooth, rolling trigger.

Walther did a good job with that trigger, especially on what was supposed to be a budget gun.

Love mine. Purchased new in 2019. Cannot beat the hand feel; fantastic ergonomics. Best trigger in this economy pistol range, bar none. Slightly top heavy axis BUT has not affected accuracy or on target reset in my experience. It is the gun I carry around the ranch acreage for 4-legged or 2-legged defense, and the one in my hand at the back door at 3am when the dogs set to barking an alert. Best $259 I ever spent.
