My father just gave me his old PPK. It was purchased in 1966 and carried it concealed when he was overseas in the army.
He then put it away and just recently pulled it out...
It was pretty rusted and did not move real well. I took the finest steel wool I could get and some gun oil. Stripped it and removed all the rust I could get to. I then did as thorough of a job with some solvent and a brush as I could on the other parts.
Today I made it go bang and love the gun. It will be a great ccw for me.
I dont know what to do about the pitting though. Any suggestions?
