Since I am shooting warm .357SIG ammunition in my P99 w/ Bar-Sto barrel, I'd really like to start using a heavier recoil spring. I would like to replace the plastic captive guide rods in my P99s with metal non-captive guide rods so that I can experiment with different spring weights.

Does anyone know of a source for these? Wolff (www.gunsprings.com) doesn't show any on their website.

I heard that the aftermarket guiderod for a Springfield XD works in the P99.

Well, actually, I have two of those; one captive and one non-captive, but I use them in my two XDs. I have tried the non-captive one in my P99 and it does work. I was just wondering if there was a metal guide rod made specifically for the P99. If I can't find one in the near future, I suppose I'll just order another "Don's Guide Rod" from HS2000/XD Talk.
