I saw a new style P99 QA today at a gun show. It was a .40 and was actually a very nice piece! It looked a lot better to me in real life than in pictures. The craftsmanship was excellent. It wasn't the ambidextious type though. But I could see the molding where the ambi slide release levers would go. They must mill those out later if they're going to make a QA with the Ambi-release.?

Eventually I'll probably get one.

I did not see any Compact P99's or G22's.

P88,

I'm guessing that you were at the Gun Show at the Western Idaho Fairground?

If you were, which table did you see it?

I spent about 2 hours walking around (looking for Mags), and I didn't see any thing like the new P99.

But I will say that my son really did enjoy the ADA county safety stuff in the West parking lot (He loves the choppers).

Yep, missed it for sure, bummer.

When we were on the west side of the building , we were mainly looking at the Buckhorn Gun table.

Not a bad show all-in-all. I wish I had things together for the Ft. Boise show back in April or May. I still remember the last one I went to in Boise was at the Bank of America Center.

When was that? I've never heard of them having a gun show in the B of A center.

I didn't find any other Walther's that were dying to come home with me. I may have bought that new P99 if it were a 9mm. I've got too many .40's.

I did pick me up a nice DSA FAL scope mount and a few books. My son had to have one of those plastic samuri swords. All in all an ok gun show. The new P99 was probably the funnest thing I saw.
